The hotel is in an excellent location as Afyssos, in our opinion, is one of the best villages to stay in the Pelion region. It has retained a good deal of the traditional seaside village characteristics, on the shore and in the laneways. The hotel is family-run with great care for detail. It is located just off the rather special village square. The welcome is excellent, and the ongoing attention of the staff goes beyond the normal. Repeat visits are frequent, including ours, and in an area and time of great alternatives, this is a tribute to the standard the Katia sets itself.

1.it is a really family hotel. 2. the stuff was very nice, especially room cleaning. our room was perfectly clean every day before we return from the beach. 3. the sweets were very delicious.
1. buffet restaurant was only 2 days, other 6 days there was a breakfast with lot of bread and special greek sweets first, before main dishes. 2. the fotos of the hotel as it is near the beach are not the truth: in fact the hotel is situated at the distance of 15 minutes to go to the sea. 3. the hotel is situated in a very small village Afissos, there are no pharmacy and the nearest pharmacy is situated in the next village Kala Nera (10 km). 4. there are no places to dance in Afissos. 5. !!! the beach is stony, there is no gold dust there!!!

very friendly staff, got lovely big room with our own very large terrace on the third floor with nice view over the village - very relaxing. nice location in the middle of a very small very untouristy village at the seaside- good breakfast! dinner very good and reasonably priced.
shower very small. it is also incorrect to say the hotel has parking on site - this is not the case. There is the possibility of parking close by near the village square, but there were never enough parking spaces. We ended up having to park very very close to a wall in a narrow alley - which only worked because we had a narrow car. Also the lack of elevator in a 3-4 storey building may be a problem for some - the stairs are narrow and steep and carrying suitcases up 3 flights of stairs was tough. also signage to the hotel has to be increased! We drove by it the first time and had to drive quite some distance out of the village again before finding a place to turn.
